In 1989, O’Reilly’s celebrity, if not stature, would increase significantly when he joined Inside Edition, a tabloid show. Despite the nature of the show, O’Reilly lent it credibility and reported on significant news stories of the day, including the dismantling of the Berlin Wall, the L.A. riots and other big stories. O’Reilly left television in 1995 and enrolled in the JFK School of Government at Harvard, eventually earning his master’s degree in public administration.
