Kenya Moore is an American actress, model, reality star, producer, and former Miss USA 1993 with an estimated net worth of $400 thousand. Kenya Summer Moore was born on January 24, 1971 in Detroit, Michigan. From birth her mother chose to have nothing to do with her. Moore was subsequently raised by her grandmother and aunt. She graduated from Cass Technical High School and went on to study psychology at Wayne State University.

In 1993 Kenya Moore won the Miss Michigan USA title. She went on to compete in the 1993 Miss USA pageant. Moore became the second African-American woman in history to win the Miss USA title. She progressed to competing in Miss Universe. Moore made it to the top six but ultimately did not win this pageant.

Kenya Moore successfully parlayed her pageant career and transitioned to other avenues in the entertainment industry. Due to her fame from winning, she was able to appear on television shows such as Video Soul, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Martin, Smart Guy, Living Single, The Steve Harvey Show, In the House, The Jamie Foxx Show, The Parent ‘Hood, The Parkers, Girlfriends, and Meet The Browns.

Kenya Moore also worked as a video model in Jay-Z’s “Money Ain’t a Thang” (1998), Shai’s “I Don’t Wanna Be Alone” (1996), and Nas’ “Street  Dreams” (1996). Additionally, she has graced the covers of magazines such as Ebony, Essence, Glamour, Seventeen, and numerous men’s magazines.

Kenya  Moore’s film credits include Waiting to Exhale (1995), Senseless (1998), Deliver Us from Eva (2003), I Know Who Killed Me (2007), and Trapped: Haitian Nights (2010).

In 2012 Kenya Moore was added to the cast of The Real Housewives of Atlanta in the show’s fifth season. The following year she released her first workout DVD called Kenya Moore: Booty Boot Camp.

Kenya Moore produced the film Trapped: Haitian Nights after the film’s original director/producer dropped out from the project for unknown reasons. She then went on to create Moore Vision Media which is an independent film production and home-video distribution company.
