Rafael Nadal has an estimated net worth of $75 million dollars

Rafael Nadal is a professional Spanish tennis player with an estimated net worth of $75 million dollars. He is 6’1″ and weighs 187 pounds. He is currently ranked the No. 1 tennis player in the world. Rafael Nadal Parera was born on June 3, 1986 in Manacor, Balearic Islands Spain. His father, Sebastian, is a businessman who owned several companies, while his mother, Ana Maria, was a housewife. Nadal comes from a close knit and athletic family including one uncle, Miguel Angel Nadal, who was a professional soccer player and another, Toni Nadal, who was a professional tennis player who would go to coach Rafael throughout his career. Rafael started playing tennis at 3 years old and by 8 had already won regional tournaments. At 12, he won Spanish and European titles.

After a successful junior career, Rafael’s prodigious talent led him to turn pro at 15 and success followed immediately. He won his first tour match that year, and in 2003 won his first two titles and reached the third round of Wimbledon. Early in his career, he was known almost as much for his unusual dress, long shorts, sleeveless shits and bandana, as for his talent. He beat world No. 1 Roger Federer the first time they played and in 2005 won the French Open the first time he played in it. Rafael would go on to become practically unbeatable on clay courts, earning the nickname “King of Clay” and utterly dominating the clay court season for most of the past decade. His game, however, was not one dimensional as he improved on other surfaces and would eventually win every Grand Slam and the 2008 Olympics.

In total, Rafael has won 13 Grand Slams, including 8 French Opens (the most ever). After winning the 2013 French Open, Rafael became the first male tennis player to win at least one Grand Slam tournament for nine consecutive years (2005-2013). Almost as impressive as his records and clay court expertise, is Rafael’s head to head advantage of the best players in the world, including Federer (who he leads 21-10), Novak Djokovic (22-16) and Andy Murray (13-5). He has alternated between the top 3 spots in tennis for most of the past decade, including extended runs as No. 1. Rafael international appeal is unquestionable and he has endorsed such popular brands as Nike, Kia Motors and replaced Cristiano Ronaldo as the face of Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans in 2011.
