Wendy Williams has an estimated net worth of $7.5 million

Wendy Williams is an American talk show host and radio personality with an estimated net worth of $7.5 million. She is 6’0″ and weighs 178 pounds. Wendy Williams was born in Asbury Park, New Jersey on July 18, 1964. She grew up in the middle-class community of Ocean Township, New Jersey. Wendy was one of three children born to Shirley and Thomas Williams. Williams was a major contrast from older sister who was a quiet bookworm. Her older sister went on to study at Tufts University at the young age of sixteen. Wendy on the other hand didn’t excel academically, she was loud, talked to much, and talked too fast.

By the sixth grade, Williams stood at 5’7″ and wore a size 11 shoe. Her parents pushed her to become involved in extra-curricular activities. Wendy Williams was a girl scout, played the clarinet, and was a member of her school’s swim team and marching band. She went on to study communications and journalism at Northeastern University and graduated in 1986.

Wendy Williams bounced around a lot in the beginning of her career, trying to find the perfect radio home. Many stations just wanted her to read lines and play the hits. Wendy’s style of radio involved dishing up details on her personal life, offering listeners advice, and asking celebrity guests tough/controversial questions. She eventually found a home at Manhattan’s WBLS.

Wendy’s show The Wendy Williams Experience brought in approximately 12 million listeners and proved that her style worked. Williams’ show became so popular that she began calling herself “The Queen of All Media” modeled after shock-jock Howard Stern dubbing himself “The King of All Media”. By 2008, her radio show was syndicated coast to coast and Wendy was inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame. She has also authored two New York Times bestselling novels- Wendy’s Got the Heat and the Wendy Williams Experience.

After 23 years on radio, Wendy made her transition to television in 2009 with The Wendy Williams Show. The show follows her radio show format with celebrity gossip, celebrity interviews, advice for the audience, and Wendy delving into her personal life’s experiences.

Wendy Williams lives in a suburb in northern New Jersey with her husband, and their son Kevin Jr.
