Tom Brady is an American professional football player with an estimated net worth of $110 million. He is currently a quarterback for the NFL’s New England Patriots. Brady is 6’4″ and weighs 225 pounds. Thomas Edward Patrick Brady, Jr. was born on August 3, 1977 in San Mateo, California. Brady was the youngest of four children and the only male. He grew up attending San Francisco 49ers games with his father and idolized Joe Montana. In high school he played football, basketball and baseball and was an accomplished athlete in all sports, even being drafted in the 18th round of the 1995 MLB Draft.

Despite his early success in sports, Brady did not enjoy immediate notoriety when he attended the University of Michigan. He backed up future NFL starter Brian Griese in his first two years at the school and had to battle to start in his junior and senior seasons. He would go on to break some passing records and Michigan and won 20 of 25 games as a starter. Still, his stock going into the 2000 NFL Draft was low and he was selected No. 199 in the sixth round by the New England Patriots. He started his first NFL campaign as the fourth string quarterback but by the end of the season had become Drew Bledsoe’s backup. Everything would change, however, in his second season when Bledsoe was injured in the second game and Brady was forced to replace him and start the third game of the season. The Patriots would go on to win 11 of the 14 games Brady started that season and qualify for the playoffs. They made an unlikely run through the playoffs, including a major upset win in the Super Bowl.

Bledsoe was traded in the offseason and Brady installed as the permanent starter. Although the team finished with a winning record in 2002, they did not qualify for the playoffs. In 2003, the team finished 14-2 and Brady again led the Patriots to a Super Bowl win. The tea would repeat the feat in 2004, winning Brady’s third Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles. Over his 15 years, Brady would become one of the premiere quarterbacks in football history, leading the team to remarkable success and breaking a number of records. He led the Patriots to the first ever 16-0 regular season in 2007 and within a hair of an undefeated season before losing to the New York Giants in the Super Bowl. As one of the most recognizable sports personalities in the country, Brady is a marketable celebrity endorsing a number of products.
