Roger Federer has an estimated net worth of $180 million dollars

Swiss professional tennis player Roger Federer has an estimated net worth of $180 million dollars. He is 6’1″ and weighs 187 pounds. Roger Federer was born on August 8, 1981 in Basel, Switzerland. Roger’s parents, Robert and Lynette, were Swiss and South African, respectively, and he has dual nationality. He is married to former professional tennis player, Mirka Vavrinec, and has twin daughters. Roger grew up near the French and German border and played a variety of sports from an early age, including soccer, basketball, badminton and, of course, tennis. Roger has said his variety of sports helped develop his hand eye coordination. He quickly developed a stand out tennis game and was successful in juniors, winning Wimbledon in 1998. He played his first professional tournament that same year but lost his initial match.

Roger won his first title at a Challenger Series event in 1999 on his 18th birthday. After about a year on the pro tour, Roger got to his first pro level final at the 2000 Marseille Open but lost. His first top level pro win came in 2001 at the Milan Indoor Tournament. That same year he made the quarterfinals of both the French Open and Wimbledon, defeating Pete Sampras in the latter. The next year, 2002, he won his first Master Series event in Hamburg and lost the final of the Miami Masters to Andre Agassi, on his way to finishing the year ranked as the No. 6 player in the world. His career would take off in 2003, when he won his first Wimbledon title and finished the year ranked second. In 2004 he would win three Grand Slam tournaments (Australian, U.S. Open and his second Wimbledon) on his way to ending the year as the top ranked player. The next year he would win his 3rd Wimbledon and second U.S. Open. In 2006, he would again win three Grand Slam tournaments, missing out only on the French, which he would finally win in 2009.

Roger has won the most Grand Slam singles titles in history (17) and 77 total titles in singles. He is generally considered the greatest tennis player in the open era. He also won the 2008 doubles gold medal in the Olympics. Roger is among the most famous athletes in the world and as such has attained a number of lucrative sponsorships, including Nike, Rolex, Credit Suisse, Mercedes and Gillette. He is currently listed on number 2 on Forbes highest paid athlete list and the highest tennis earner despite a current ranking of No. 6.
