Rajon Rondo has an estimated net worth of $35 million dollars
Rajon Rondo is an American professional basketball player with an estimated net worth of $35 million dollars. He is 6’1″ and weighs 185 pounds. Rajon Pierre Rondo was born February 22, 1986 in Louisville, Kentucky. Rajon grew up an athletic child initially loving the sport of football. It wasn’t until he entered Eastern High School that he set his attention on basketball. The high school player clashed with his coach but was averaging more than 27 points and seven assists per game. He helped lead the Eastern High School team to the Louisville Invitational Tournament championship. For his senior year, Rajon transferred to Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia. He set records with this team as well, and they finished with a 38-0 record. Rajon Rondo was named the 2004 McDonald’s All-American player. For college, he enrolled into the University of Kentucky.
Rajon Rondo made the SEC All-Freshman Team his first year playing for the University of Kentucky. He clashed again with his college coach, deliberately ignoring his coach’s calls in attempts to speed up the game. After his freshman year, Rajon entered the 2006 NBA Draft. It was no doubt that he was an exceptional player, but his shooting skill were poor along with his leadership skills. Despite the odds against him, Rajon was drafted as the 21st overall pick for the Phoenix Suns. He was immediately traded to the Boston Celtics.
During the 2006 season, Rajon began as the third-string point guard. The Celtics coach was not pleased with Rajon’s stubbornness, but he soon grew to appreciate the young player’s competitive nature. Rajon Rondo was promoted up to a regular starter by the second half of his first season. Rajon helped the Celtics superstar’s Garnett, Pierce, and Allen win the 2008 NBA Championship against the Los Angeles Lakers. The young point guard who most doubted, proved his place on the team. By the 2009-2010 season Rajon was considered a valuable asset to the team just like Garnett, Allen, and Pierce. In 2011, Rajon opened the Rajon Rondo Foundation. The foundation helps at risk youth in low-income communities find safe, reliable, resources and hope for the future. He also runs a summer basketball camp.
