Javier Hernández Balcázar has an estimated net worth of $17 million

Javier Hernández is a Mexican footballer with an estimated net worth of $17 million. He is 5’9″ and weighs 137 pounds. He is currently a forward for the Premier League club Manchester United and the Mexican national team. Javier Hernández Balcázar, widely known by his nickname “Chicharito” was born on June 1, 1988 in Guadalajara, Mexico.  Hernandez’s father was a star soccer player in Mexico making it all the way to the Mexican National Team. Hernandez started to play recreationally at the age of 7 and would go on to join the youth team of C.D. Guadalajara, also known as “Chivas,”  at the age of 9.

Hernandez’s natural instinct in front of goal led him to sign his first professional contract at the age of 15 with Chivas. Although he was tapped as a player for the 2005 FIFA Under 17 World Championship by the Mexican soccer federation, an injury kept him from the squad that would eventually win the championships. Hernandez would debut with Chivas’ second division team in 2005 and got his call up to the first division squad a year later, scoring as a substitute in his first game. Even so, it took a couple of years for him to make a mark and get a consistent role on the team. That happened in 2009 when he began starting and scoring regularly, finishing as the third scorer in the league. The next year he was the co-scoring leader in the top division.

In 2010, after watching Hernandez develop, European powerhouse Manchester United signed him in a transfer deal. Hernandez made an immediate impact on the Red Devils scoring a handful of game winning goals in his first season with the club and netting a total of over 20 on his way to being named the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year for the team in 2011. He would go on to become a consistent scoring threat for Manchester Untied for the next three years, despite often coming off the bench. Although his name is routinely mentioned in transfer rumors, the Red Devils have so far refused to let him go to another club. Hernandez would play in the 2010 World Cup with Mexico and is a strong candidate to be on the team in the 2014 World Cup. Hernandez has been named a Mexican ambassador for UNICEF and was featured on EA Sports’ FIFA 14 cover alongside Lionel Messi
