Fiercely private actor Matt Damon has recently purchased a very public home in the Hollywood Hills. The 8,890 square foot mansion boasts six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, hardwood floors, 35-foot ceilings and walls made entirely of glass. In addition to the ample amount of bedrooms the home also features an open atrium, an office, a large gym, and a separate quarter for housekeepers. The acre-lot has a koi pond, pool, and outdoor spa. Damon purchased the $15 million dollar property in late August.
Damon is a down-to-earth celebrity, spending most of his free time with his wife, Luciana Barroso, and their four daughters, Alexia, Isabella, Stella, and Gia. Damon met his wife while she was tending bar in 2003. The couple married at the New York City Hall in 2005 and have been together even since. Never once has the couple appeared unfavorably in the media. Damon believes that marrying a “civilian” has kept him grounded and level headed. The Hollywood powerhouse has never been one for flashy cars, fancy homes, or lavish spending even though his films have made him one of Hollywood’s most bankable stars and padded his bank account with $65 million dollars.
Damon’s home is the only thing about him that screams ‘celebrity’ and with his most recent hit, Elysium making impressive numbers at the box office its safe to say he can afford this little piece of real estate heaven.
