Ronald Isley is an American R&B singer-songwriter and record producer with an estimated net worth of $2 million. He is 5’8″ and weighs 197 pounds. Ronald Isley was born on May 21, 1941 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is the third of six brothers to Sally Bernice and O’Kelly Isley, Sr. The Isley boys all started singing in the church. Ronald Isley started singing around the age of three and by the time he was seven, Ronald was singing at venues such as Chicago’s Regal Theater alongside big names like Dinah Washington.

In 1957 Ronald and his brothers Kelly and Rudy moved to New York City to record doo-wop for local labels. In 1959 the Isley’s signed a major record deal with RCA Records. That same year they wrote and released the massive hit “Shout.” The song went on to sell over a million copies.

Throughout decades Ronald Isley remained the group’s consistent member and also the lead vocalist. The Isley Brother’s had successful singles like “Twist & Shout”, “This Old Heart of Mine (Is Weak for You)”,”Fight the Power (part 1)”, and “Contagious”.  “It’s Your Thing” was recorded in 1969 and won a Grammy, selling over a million copies.

In the 1990s Ronald Isley became a sought after featured artist for R.Kelly, Warren G., 2Pac, and UGK. While working with R.Kelly he created the Mr. Biggs persona.

At the 2010 Soul Train Awards Ronald Isley received the “Legend Award” for his decades of work with the Isley Brothers and his solo projects.

As a solo artist, Ronald Isley has released three albums: Here I Am (2003), Mr. I (2010), This Song Is For You (2013).

In 2006 Isley was convicted if tax evasion charges and sentenced to three years and one month in prison. He was listed as one of California’s most delinquent taxpayers, owing $303,411.43 in debt from a lien field in October 2002.
