Michael Edward Palin was born on May 5, 1943 in Broomhill, England.  Palin’s father was an engineer and his mother looked after him and his sister. Palin would go on to work steadily after Monty Python’s heyday, penning movies like Time Bandits, acting in films like Brazil, A Fish Called Wanda and Fierce Creatures and recently was in The Wipers Time in 2013. Even with all he accomplished, Palin’s greatest contributions may reside in the travel shows ,books and videos, he appeared in during the 1980s, 1990s and new century. The popularity of his shows was such that destinations he visited – and he traveled all over the world – would see an sharp increase in tourism after Palin featured it.
