Li Na has an estimated net worth of $40 million

Li Na is a Chinese professional tennis player with an estimated net worth of $40 million. She is the first and only Grand Slam singles champion from an Asian country. Na is 5’8″ and weighs 148 pounds. Li Na was born on February 26, 1982 in Wuhan, China. Na’s father was a professional badminton player and from an early age she followed in his footsteps, although at the age of 8 she was convinced to change sports to tennis when a coach at a local tennis club told her parents that it would be the right career move. She would go on to join China’s National Tennis Team in 1997 and would soon travel to Texas to receive coaching for 10 months before returning to her home country.  After a hiatus to go to university, Na returned to the national team in 2004.

Na turned pro in 1999 and had a good deal of success on the ITF circuit. She would get enough victories to rise to 136 in the world and win entry into her first WTA tournament in 2000. After some extended absences from competition, she returned to full time competition in 2004 and won her first WTA title in Guangzhou, becoming the first Chinese player ever to do so. She would continue to win ITF circuit tournaments and broke into the top 100 ranking in the world for the first time, reaching 80. In 2005, she started competing exclusively on the WTA tour and reached her first Grand Slam quarterfinal in 2006. In 2008, Na would quit the national team under a reform system that allowed Chinese players to pick their coaches and pay their travel expenses – as well as keep more of their winnings – and she began to flourish.

She won more WTA titles and reached her first Grand Slam semifinal in 2010 at the Australian Open and broke into the top 10 ranking for the first time. The next year, Na would become the first Chinese tennis player to reach a Grand Slam final at the Australian Open before she won her first Grand Slam event at the 2011 French Open. She would rise to No. 4 in the rankings. She would go on to reach the 2013 Australian Open final but lost to Victoria Azarenka and reached her first US Open semifinal but lost to Serena Williams. Na has become the most successful Asian player in tennis history and the endorsements and sponsorships have expectedly rolled in as a result, including Nike, Mercedes-Benz, Rolex, Samsung and Visa. She appeared on the cover of Time magazine and has helped the sport grow immensely in China. She married her coach, Jiang Shan in 2006.

Li Na has enough net worth to buy:

1. 684.3 Rolex Daytona 18K Yellow Gold Leopard Diamond Dial Watch ($58,450.00 each)

2. 413.1 Mercedes-Benz S-class Coupe 2015 ($96,825.00 each)

3. 111,420.6 Marc Jacobs Open Temple Beveled Sunglasses   ($359.00 each)

Li Na has enough net worth to give everyone in Argentina $1.
