As a child Stonestreet aspired to become a clown. At the age of nine he created a clown character named Fizbo. Stonestreet graduated from Piper High School and matriculated to Kansas State University. When he graduated from Kansas State in 1996, Stonestreet spent two years studying improv and performing with The Second City Center in Chicago. He then moved to Los Angeles for bigger opportunities in the entertainment business.
