At an age where most actors would begin to enjoy retirement, Meara continued working steadily in the 1990s and well into the new century including recurring roles in such hit shows as Sex and the City and The King of Queens. She also was a cast member on All My Children from 1992 to 1999.  Married for almost 60 years to Stiller, who also continues to work into his 80s, the coupling has two children, including one of the most successful comedy actors of the last several decades, Ben Stiller.
