Antonia Johnson was born on October 30, 1983 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Johnson was one of six children born to Anita Johnson-Andrews and Walter Andrews. Toya Wright is also a businesswoman. She owns a boutique called G.A.R.B. and wrote a book entitled Priceless Inspiration. 

On June 18, 2011 Toya married Jive record label executive Mickey “Memphitz” Wright in a ceremony in Atlanta.
