The youngest of six children, Tamar Estine Braxton was born on March 17, 1977 in Severn, Maryland. With an amateur opera singer mother and pastor father, the six Braxton children combined their family talents singing in their father’s church as children. At only twelve years old, Tamar and her four sisters created R&B girl group, The Braxtons and landed an album deal with Arista Records. The show, which follows the five Braxton women through their daily lives, was an instant hit and its popularity spawned a spin-off for Tamar and husband, Vincent. Tamar & Vince premiered on WE in September 2012, chronicling the daily lives of the singer and her record exec hubby. Married since 2008, the couple has one child, son Logan Vincent Herbert, born in June 2013.
