Despite not being a top draft pick, Sherman shattered all expectations of him being a lowly player when he was selected to the 2011 PFW All-Rookie Team. He continued to make a name for himself as a valuable Seahawks player by becoming the first Seahawks cornerback to be named NFL Defensive Player of the Month (September 2013). In 2013 Richard Sherman made it to the Pro Bowl and was named the NFL’s interceptions leader. In 2013 he was ranked No. 50 in the NFL’s ranking of its Top 200 Players.
