Marlon Brando had an estimated net worth of $100 million
Marlon Brando, Jr. was an American actor with an estimated net worth of $100 million dollars. Marlon Brando, Jr. was born on April 3, 1924 in Omaha, Nebraska. Brando grew up in an unconventional family. His mother was well ahead of the times. She drove a car, smoked, and wore trousers, all of which were unusual for a woman to do during that era. Unfortunately, she was also a drunk. Brando learned mimicry from an early age, and he would mimic the animals on his family’s farm to distract her from drinking.
After getting expelled from school due to his bad behavior, Brando was shipped off to a military academy where he excelled socially and academically. Although he had made excellent strides at the academy, Brando was expelled again for unruly behavior. His father constantly scolded him for never being able to do anything right, so Brando moved to New York to live with his older sister. He enrolled into Stella Adler’s acting school and soon began appearing on Broadway. He most notably appeared in the original production of A Streetcar Named Desire.
Eventually Brando became an A-List Hollywood actor appearing in successful films such as, Julius Caesar (1953), On the Waterfront (1954), Sayonara (1957), Reflections in a Golden Eye, and Apocalypse Now (1979). He has won two Academy Awards, two Golden Globes, three BAFTA’s, and a host of other accolades for his undeniable talent.
Marlon Brando, Jr. passed away in July 2004 due to respiratory failure from pulmonary fibrosis along with congestive heart failure. He is considered to be one of the greatest actors ever. The American Film Institute ranked Brando as the fourth greatest male screen legend and in 1999, and TIME magazine named Brando as one of its 100 Persons of the Century.
