Tim Gunn is an American fashion consultant and television personality with an estimated net worth of $15 million.  He is 6’2″ and weighs 200 pounds.Timothy M. Gunn was born in Washington, DC on July 29, 1953. Gunn was a champion swimmer throughout out high school. However after high school Gunn decided to pursue his artistic side rather than his athletic side. He attended Corcoran College of Art and Design and received a BFA in sculpture.

Tim Gunn began working as a faculty member at Parsons The New School for Design in 1982. He served as the school’s associate dean from 1989 to 2000. Bravo has credited Gunn with “retooling and invigorating the curriculum for the 21st century. From August 2000 to March 2007 he worked as the school’s chair of fashion design. Afterwards he left and joined Liz Claiborne as its chief creative officer.

In 2004 Tim Gunn bean appearing on Bravo’s fashion competition show Project Runway as the competitors advice consultant. In 2013 he won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program. Gunn is known for his catchphrase “Make it work.”

Bravo premiered Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style in September 2007. The show centers around Gunn giving advice to people who have no sense of style. That same year, Abrams Image Publishers released Gunn’s novel A Guide to Quality, Taste and Style.

Gunn is also a voice actor. He provides the voice of Baileywick, the castle’s steward on Disney Junior’s computer-animated television show Sofia the First.

Gunn lives in Manhattan. He is against the use of animal fur in clothing designs and has worked with PETA to fight for animal rights.
