American rapper The Game has an estimated net worth of $25 million. He is 6’4″ and weighs 190 pounds. He is best known for his Grammy nominated single “Hate It or Love It.” Jayceon Terrell Taylor was born on November 29, 1979 in Los Angeles, California. The Game grew up in the popular and poor neighborhood of Compton in Los Angeles and joined in a lot of the gang related activities in his youth. In later interviews, he says he remembers both parents getting ready to participate in drive-by shootings and suffering through the murder of his friend when he was six years old. By 7, The Game was put in foster care and recalls once meeting his idol, rapper Eazy-E of NWA. He managed to get away from the gang life temporarily when he started playing basketball in high school and claims to have earned a scholarship, although he says he was eventually kicked out of school. Back in his old neighborhood, The Game went back into gang activity culminating in an incident where he was shot 5 times in 2001 and barely survived after a 3-day coma.

While contemplating his future in the hospital, The Game started studying hip hop and with his brother eventually founded a label. He came to the attention of the industry after releasing a mix tape which landed him his first record deal. Eventually, he would sign with Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment in 2003 and shortly afterward he would work with 50 cent and G-Unit. The Game made a cameo in 50 Cent’s “In da Club” and would release his first album, The Documentary in 2005. The album had several hit singles, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and was the 10th bestselling album of the year. It also earned two Grammy nominations. After the success of his album, The Game has entered into several feuds with existing rappers and rap personalities, including Suge Knight and 50 Cent, eventually leading to his leaving his label and signing with Geffen Records.

The Game’s second album, Doctor’s Advocate, was released in 2006 and debuted at No. 1 on Billboard 200 and sold 358,000 copies in its first week. His next album, LAX, also was successful and eventually he would return to Aftermath Entertainment in 2010. His subsequent albums, The R.E.D. Album and Jesus Piece also garnered commercial success. He continues to record albums. The Game was engaged to actress and model Valeisha Butterfield but the wedding was called off. Still, the coupling resulted in a child. His relationship with Tiffney Cambridge was documented in VH1’s reality show, Marrying the Game, and he has two children with her.
