William Jonathan Drayton, Jr. was born on March 16, 1959 in Roosevelt, New York. Flavor Flav grew up in Freeport, New York. He started teaching hiself how to play the piano at only five years old. After years of remaining out of the public eye, Flavor Flav resurfaces to appear on the VH1 reality series The Surreal Life. American was so entertained my Flavor Flav’s larger than life personality that VH1 continued to create shows for him. He starred in Strange Love with Danish actress Brigitte Nielsen and the love competition show Flavor of Love.
Flavor Flav is an exceptional cook and used his culinary skills to open Flav’s Fried Chicken and Flavor Flav’s Chicken & Ribs. Both of the restaurants are no longer opened due to bad business decisions.
