Christopher Lee Rios, better known by his stage name Big Pun, was an American rapper with an estimated net worth of $5 million. He was 5’2″ and weighed 698 pounds at the time of his death. Christopher Lee Rios was born on November 10, 1971 in The Bronx, New York. Rios stared writing rap lyrics sometime in the1990s. He met fellow Puerto Rican rapper from the Bronx, Fat Joe, in 1995. Big Pun’s second album Yeeeah Baby (2000) spawned two popular singles “Its So Hard” and “100%”. Although it eventually went platinum, it wasn’t as successful as his first album.
Big Pun struggled with his weight throughout his entire life. He fluctuated from being obese to morbidly obese. The rapper suffered from a fatal heart attack and respiratory failure on February 7, 2000. He survived by his wife, Liza, and their three children.
