Angela Yee is an American radio personality with an estimated net worth of $1.5 million. She is currently a co-host for New York’s Power 105.1 nationally syndicated morning program, The Breakfast Club. Angela Yee was born on January 3, 1974 in Brooklyn, New York to a West Indian mother and a Chinese father. When she was 15 her family moved to South Orange, New Jersey where she graduated from Poly Prep Country Day School in 1993. In 1997 Yee graduated from Wesleyan University.

Yee aspired to be a writer and after college she gravitated towards marketing and the music business. Her first job out of college was working at Wu-Tang Management. She then went on to work for Paul Rosenberg and Eminem’s clothing label, Shady Limited.

While working at Shady Limited, she heard of a job opportunity in Sirius Satellite Radio’s marketing department. She asked Rosenberg to get her an interview since she knew he had connections at Sirius through Shade 45. He told her, “Well, you know what, they’re looking for a female on the morning show, why don’t you try it out and see if it works for you?”

Angela Yee got the job and began co-hosting The Cipha Sounds Effect in 2005. When Cipha Sounds left Sirius in July 2008, Angela Yee took over the hosting duties full-time and renamed the show, The Morning After with Angela Yee. She also hosted Lip Service on Sirius Station Shade 45.

In December 2010 Angela Yee, DJ Envy, and Charlamagne Tha God began hosting The Breakfast Club on New York’s Power 105.1. The show became so popular that it is now nationally syndicated.

Angela Yee also works as a correspondent for MTV2’s Sucker Free show.
