Academy Award-winning actress Anne Hathaway is trying to sell her DUMBO apartment for $4.5 million dollars. The star purchased the apartment, located in the Down Under Manhattan Bridge area of Brooklyn in January 2013 for $4.1 million.

Hathaway is not completely abandoning the building as of yet. She currently lives with her husband, Adam Shulman, in a rental unit in the building. Hathaway purchased the three-bedroom, 3.5-bedroom unit on the ninth floor of the Clocktower, located at 1 Main Street.

Hathaway bought the apartment to use as a closet. Seriously, she essentially bought a $4.1 million dollar apartment. No stranger to exorbitant housing costs, Hathaway previously rented at the Avalon Bowery rental complex before paying $37,500 a month for a rental penthouse in the Trump Tower.

Here’s hoping Hathaway’s apartment sells soon. We imagine there are plenty of clotheshorses with a few million lying around to put towards a new closet.
