Kelis is an American singer-songwriter and certified chef with an estimated net worth of $4 million. She is 5’10″ and weighs140 pounds. The third of four sisters, Kelis Rogers was born in Harlem, New York on August 21, 1979. Kelis found a love for music as a young child learning to play a number of instruments including the saxophone and piano and also singing in church choirs. While she was attending Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music, Kelis began a friendship with music producing duo The Neptunes and with their help she began working on her debut album.

Kelis had a short relationship with Neptunes producer Pharrell Williams in 1999 after the two worked closely on her 1998 debut album. Kelis married controversial New Yorker rapper Nas in January of 2005 and after separating in 2009, Kelis gave birth to their son, Knight, on July 22, 2009. The couple’s 2010 divorce made headlines when the she and her rapper ex continuously jabbed each other in the press. Currently pursuing new endeavors, Kelis graduated from famed culinary school Le Cordon Bleu in 2010, has a cook book in the works as well as her own line of fashion accessories, named Cake.
