The-Dream has an estimated net worth of $10 million

Terius Nash, better known by his stage name The-Dream, is an American singer-songwriter and record producer with an estimated net worth of $10 million. He is 6’1″ and weighs 193 pounds. Terius Nash was born in Rockingham, North Carolina on September 20, 1977. At the age of three Nash moved with his mother to Atlanta, Georgia where he was subsequently raised. In elementary school Nash showed interest in music so he began playing the trumpet, drums, and guitar. In 1992 his mother passed away. As a teen, Nash used music as an outlet to cope with his loss. He started writing songs to express the sorrow he felt from losing his mother. To this day, Nash says this is why he likes to make music for women.

In 2001 Nash met R&B producer Laney Stewart. After Nash wrote “Everything” for the popular R&B group B2K, Stewart helped Nash get a publishing deal. From then on Nash wrote under the pen name “The-Dream”. The-Dream soon began writing hits for high-profile artists like Britney Spears, Nivea, and in 2007 he gained plenty of popularity after he created Rihanna’s smash single “Umbrella”. In 2008 “Umbrella” was nominated for Song of the Year at the Grammy Awards.The-Dream has become one of the music industry’s most sought-after songwriters/record producers.

After penning several popular hits, The-Dream decided he wanted to try his hand at being a singer. He signed a record deal with Def Jam Recordings in 2007. His debut album Love Hate featured songs like “Shawty is Da Shit”, “Falsetto”, and “I Luv Your Girl” which were all heavily played on urban radio. He was named the Best New Artist at the 2008 BET Awards. The-Dream has since gone on to release four more studio albums : Love vs. Money (2009), Love King (2010), Terius Nash: 1977 (2012), and IV Play (2013).

Although he has become a successful R&B singer, The-Dream still continues to produce and write music. Some artists he has worked with recently include LL Cool J, Usher, Jesse McCartney, Mariah Carey, Ciara, Brandy, P.Diddy, and Mary J. Blige. He has also co-written the smash singles “Single Ladies” for Beyonce and “Baby” for Justin Bieber.
