Lydia Marie Hearst-Shaw was born on September 19, 1984 in Wilton, Connecticut. Hearst-Shaw was born into a wealthy family. She is an heiress to the publishing fortune established by her great-grandfather, William Randolph Hearst. After graduating from Wilton High School, Hearst-Shaw matriculated to Sacred Heart University where she studied communications technology.
