 Teresa Giudice; née Gorga; is an American television personality and author with an estimated net worth of -$11 million dollars. Giudice was born May 18, 1972 in Paterson, New Jersey, to immigrant parents who came to the U.S. before she was born. She was raised Catholic, attended college and then went on to work as an associate buyer for Macy’s department store.

In 2009, Giudice joined the cast of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. She initially dropped out of the show four times before filming began, but returned every time. Giudice was originally pegged as a comic relief character on the show and a frien of the Manzo-Laurita family. Towards the end of season one in the episode “Final Dinner” (aired June 16, 2009) she became infamous for flipping a table in response to the show’s villain, Danielle Staub. She became the breakout star of the series and parlayed her success into a variety of projects.

The has co-authored three successful Italian cookbooks featuring family recipes handed down by her mother. The first cook, Skinny Italoan, was published May 4, 2010. Her second cookbook, Fabulicious, was published May 3, 2011 and her third cookbook, Fabulicious!: Fast & Fit was released on May 8, 2012. All three books have made the New York Times Bestseller List. In addition to her cookbooks she also has a line of Bellini cocktails called Fabellini and a haircare line named after her daughter Milania.

Giudice is married to Joe Giudice, an entrepreneur who runs serveral businesses throughout New Jersey. They have four daughters, Gia (born 2001), Gabriella (born 2004), Milania (born 2005), and Audriana (born 2009).

In July, 2013 both Joe and Teresa Giudice were charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud, wire fraud, and bank fraud. They were accused of making false statements on loan applications and bankruptcy fraud in a 39-count indictment. Separately, Joe was charged with failure to file tax returns for tax years 2004-2008, during which time he reportedly earned $1 million dollars. The couple faces up to 30 years in prison and a $1 million dollar fine. On August 14, 2013, the couple pleaded not guilty in federal court to financial fraud charges.
