Shane Victorino is an American professional baseball player with an estimated net worth of $35 million. Victorino is an outfielder for the Boston Red Sox. He is 5’9 and weighs 190 pounds. Shane Patrick Victorino was born on November 30, 1980 in Wailuku, Hawaii. Victorino’s father was a Maui County councilman and Shane grew up on the Pacific island playing baseball, football and track and field. Although he was offered a scholarship by the University of Hawaii, Victorino was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1999 and played three years in the minor leagues before joining the San Diego Padres to make his Major League debut in 2003. For the next couple of years, Victorino was back in the minor leagues playing for the Dodgers was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies late in 2004.

Although Victorino returned to the minors after joining the Phillies organization, soon he would become a full time major leaguer when he replaced Bobby Abreu in 2006, eventually becoming the team’s center fielder. In a seminal moment of his early career, the Phillies celebrated “Shane Victorino Day” in 2007 as a Hawaiian promotion, and he ended the day with a walk-off home run to win the game for the team – with his father in attendance. He would go on to have a standout career with the Phillies, including hitting his first ever grand slam in the 2008 playoffs. The Phillies would go on to win the World Series that year. Among the accolades he would receive with Philadelphia were three Gold Gloves and two All-Star appearances.

In 2012, Victorino was traded back to his original MLB team, the Dodgers, but again struggled and decided to leave the team. The following year, Victorino signed a 3-year, $39 million contract with the Boston Red Sox. In the playoffs that year, Victorino hit another grand slam against the Detroit Tigers clearing the way for Boston to make the World Series. He became only the second MLB player in history to hit two grand slams in the post-season. The Red Sox would go on to win the World Series, the second of Victorino’s career. Victorino is married with two children.
