During Sampras 14-year tour career he won 14 Grand Slam singles titles. He became the first tennis player to break tennis great Roy Emerson’s record of 12 Slams.
Pete Sampras also won 5 ATP Year end World Championships and 2 Grand Slam cups (indoor titles). He was ranked as the World No.1 player on April 12, 1993 and kept the title until 1998. Pete Sampras is the first and only American to win Wimbledon and ATP World Tour Finals. He is regarded as one of the best tennis players of all time.
