He also joined Ell Roberson as one of the only Kansas State quarterbacks to score at least 60 touchdowns.
In 2009 Josh Freeman announced his eligibility for the 2009 NFL Draft. He was selected as the Tampa Bay Buccaneer’s 17th overall pick in the draft. He signed a $26 million five-year contract with the Bucs. Freeman had the possibility to make up to $36 million if he achieved certain incentives. After an unimpressive start to the 2013 football season, Freeman was released from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after they tried unsuccessfully to trade him.
