Malinda Williams has an estimated net worth of $1.5 million

Malinda Williams is an American actress with an estimated net worth of $1.5 million. She is 5’2″ and weighs 122 pounds. Malinda Williams was born December 3, 1975 in Elizabeth New Jersey. Her family settled in Westfield, New Jersey, and this is where she was raised. Williams attended Westfield High School and attended Union County College in Elizabeth. Williams found interest in the beauty industry and enrolled into beauty school in New Jersey. She earned her cosmetology degree and set her sights on moving to Los Angeles to style the heads of Hollywood’s elite.

Once in Los Angeles, Williams’ dreams of becoming a celebrity hair stylist fell to the wayside because she was becoming a celebrity in her own right. She started making guest appearances on television shows such as Miami Vice, The Cosby Show, My So-Called Life, Sister Sister, Moesha, NYPD Blues, and Dangerous Minds.

In 1996 Williams made her film debut as Erica Wright in Martin Lawrence’s A Thin Line Between Love and Hate. Williams’ next big role came when she played young Stacy in the romantic comedy The Wood (1999).

Malinda Williams’ performance in The Wood led to her  getting a lead role on the Showtime series Soul Food. Art imitated life a bit because her character “Bird” Van Adams was a hairstylist, so Williams fit perfectly into the role. “Bird” has become Williams’ most notable role to date.

Malinda Williams has gone on to appear in many television series and films such as Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, The District, Windfall, Idlewild (2006), Daddy’s Little Girls (2007), First Sunday (2008), and 2 Days in New York (2012).
